Abram Friedman Occupational Center (AFOC), an LA Unified Division of Adult and Career Education school, co-hosted a Rapid Response event with the City of LA Workforce Development Board (WDB), and the City of LA Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD) to provide services and support for the 900 employees laid off by the Youth Policy Institute (YPI).

On November 20th more than 1,000 students from Evans Community Adult School (Evans CAS), an LA Unified Division of Adult and Career Education School, attended a health fair in which twenty community partners were able to share information about the health services they offer.
LA Unified's Division of Adult and Career Education (DACE) embarked on a journey to develop lessons for English language learners designed to address the four most common barriers to participation outlined by the U.S. Census Bureau.
